Palinspastic WNW – ESE sections in the Tardets-Mauléon Basin. The crustal thinning related to the dominant W-E counterclockwise strike slip motion is very important during the Upper-Albian-Lower Cenomanian period. Note the location of the Turono-Coniacian Osquich Pass megaturbidite westward of the transverse Barlanès fault zone (sections C and D).
