PHMA : plus hautes mers astronomiques ; PMVE : pleine mer de vives eaux ; PMME : pleine mer de mortes eaux ; NM : niveau moyen ; BMME : basse mer de mortes eaux ; BMVE : basse mer de vives eaux ; PBMA : plus basses eaux astronomiques.
