Cooling evolution that results from the inversion of rifted margin (A), leading to the formation of a doubly-vergent orogen (B) (modified after Ternois et al., 2021). Cooling paths are shown for particles labelled 1, 2 and 3 located on the lower plate during building of the orogenic wedge. Time-temperature paths shown in (C) have been constrained based on thermo-mechanical modelling of rift inversion (Jourdon et al., 2019). Cooling evolution reflects transition from initial accretion of the hot distal margin to accretion of cooler proximal/neck zone and increased coupling with erosion.
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
