Examples of strike-slip faults. (a) Dextral strike-slip fault (EW strike) (East Pay Caro). (b) Sinistral fault (EW strike) (Royal Hill). These two types of faults are sub-parallel and along-strike with respect to the basin (WNW-ESE), which emphasizes substantial kinematic incompatibilities between some sets of faults and therefore a complex faulting history of the area.
