View to the west on the geological map of the anticline structure of Buis-les-Baronnies (BRGM, Geological maps 891, 892, 915 and 916). The study area is located near Beauvoisin where a fossil seep site has been identified in the “Terres Noires” Formation (Oxfordian) since the 1980s (Gaillard et al., 1985). It is now interpreted as a fossil giant pockmark (Gay et al., 2019), that developed in the vicinity of the Triassic salt diapir of Propiac.
