L’incertitude est élevée suivant les deux axes (dates et altitudes). 1 : remplissage du cratère, probablement à brefs délais après sa formation (Thouret et al., 2016) ; 2 : période initiale de hautes eaux, suivie d’une baisse de niveau ; 3 : période de stabilité, s’achevant par une chute soudaine entre 580 et 640 ; 4 : nouvelle période de stabilité (correspondant au déversoir fossile), terminée par un démantèlement du barrage naturel ; 5 : période de stabilité actuelle, commencée au plus tard vers le début du XVIII^e siècle.
